正文 第一次混进演讲的战场 2009.11.28
曾记得从哪天开始，我就梦想着自己有一天可以穿上礼服，站在台上，通过麦克风，通过我的肢体语言，把我的所思，所想，所求传达给在场的观众。带着我的梦想，我一直在走，但却朝着反方向越走越远。高考时口语不及格，不能报其他学校的英语专业，唯有韶大收留我；大学一开始去参加社团活动被无数人批斗我普通话差；还有一次第一次音标考试我拿倒数。。。。。。这一切，像千金铁锤，严重打击了我。从此，害怕上了语言，害怕上台说话的机会。难道我那个小小的久久梦想，真的不能实现？
但学院的英语专业技能大赛之演讲比赛，我终于拿到入场券。如果按照常例，我绝对是和演讲无缘的。我也知道自己能力有限。真的感谢这次大赛的组织人。按照赛规，只有顺利通过阅读比赛，才可以进入演讲比赛。从知道可以进入演讲比赛到真正演讲那一刻，我真的好害怕自己最低分，因为这样觉得太丢人。但我还是顶着所谓的压力，去挑战演讲。这真的是我第一次走上演讲的舞台。也许，这是梦的开始。
抽到题目，一看，Rome was not built in one day。不知道怎样，我好久才反应Rome 是罗马或天主教的意思。我看到侯等室很多人在绞尽脑汁写稿，背稿。好强哦！我还是低调点，在一个角落，在短短的20分钟，写完一篇文章，才读了一次，就要上台演讲。幸好，不紧张，稳稳地站到台上。很自然地说了一句：Good afternoon， ladizes and gentlemen。一刹那，我才发现，我喉咙好渴，因为一个钟都没喝到水。算啦，管那么多，快点说完三分钟，快点走人！就这样，开始我的演讲。幸好，有一个评委看了我几眼。说明我还是有一点魅力，但遗憾的是没有魅力四射呢！最影响我的是，那个Rome发音不清晰，评委一听那个单词可能不知道我说什。，看了一次稿。可能有点紧张，最讨厌的是草稿写得乱乱的，自己都看不清，而且总是低下头看不自然，所以之后我就一直不看稿，凭自己的印象，拼命地说啊说，终于说完了。走下台后，我才知道刚才我根本没去注意复数，过去时，单词尾音的发音！还是那句，算啦，对于我自己来说，能顺利说完蛮不错啦。总比其他人没时间说完或读稿好一点点。
这是我大学的第一次演讲，但我希望这不是我大学的最后一次演讲。演讲只是一个梦的开始，而更多的挑战还在前面。

Rome was Not Built in a Day
Good afternoon， ladies and gentlemen，
Now， I want to ask you a question， if you get a opportunity of travelling abroad， which country would you like to go？ Have you dream of visiting Rome？
As we know， Rome is such a good place worth visiting 。It not only has a beautiful landscape but also has a long long history。 What’s more ，the most important point is that Rome was not built in just one day。 Thanks to the help of people from generation to generation ，Rome was built successfully， which attracted people around the world。 Without people’s hard work and wisdom， it was hard to imagine what Rome would look like。
Now， ladies and gentlemen ，I want to ask you another question， what have you learnt from this？ I think the most important thing is that we must spend much time and try our best to finish everything ，just like the Rome。
To make our dream come true and open the gate to success， we must come up with certain measures。 For one thing， we must increase the awareness of working hard whenever and wherever。 Have you heard about the space hero Yang Liwei？ He worked hard and devoted his time to space career。 Although he had make much achievement now， he still worked hard 。For another， we should bear firmly in mind that we are supposed to work hard ， be honest and make the lasting and positive contribution to our society。
As college students， it is high time that we should work hard from now on。 Don’t forget that Rome was not built in one day and we can open the gate to success。
