“I thought your Chinese good enough to play a heroine in a show I have been planning， though I am so disappointed with that。”（我原以为你的中文如火纯青，让你担任女主角儿，现在看来是一场空欢喜。）冯路巧妙地绕开了‘审查’。
“Say yes， mean no。 You have been aware that my acting was pathetic。”“别口是心非了，你知道我的演技有口皆‘悲’。”
“Now that you have got a sleep with a great director like me， anyway I ever got to bring you out。”（你都跟我这样的大导演有过潜规则了，说什么我都得把你捧红啊。）
“Drat you！How did you make up your mind on a screen， though？” （讨厌！）Jennifer搡了他一下。（你怎么又打起荧屏的主意啦？）
“You know what， a fine TV-play could strike root in the hearts of the people。 So I want to make a thought-provoking one with my full capacity， making it unforgettable for r。 Yan。”（一部好的电视剧能深入人心，我准备全力打造一部发人深省的精美之作，让我的老朋友阎成永远记忆犹新。）
“And what you want me to play？ Don’t tell me it’s a clown。”Jennifer故意言不由衷地说：（那你想让我演什么？不至于是小丑吧。）
“Almost there， you made a spectacle of yourself in the last seminar， didn’t you？。”（我看差不多，你不是在那天的讲座上出够了洋相嘛。）冯路有意挖苦她。
Jennifer不服气地又搡了他一下，“ho knows you Chinese are so hypocritical， claiming yourself married。”（谁知道你们中国人这么虚伪，声称自己结了婚。）
冯路告诉她，在中国未婚先孕为人所不齿，这里可不像你们美国那么无所顾忌
